Last month, Fox anchor Gregg Jarrett was arrested in a Minnesota airport bar for public intoxication after the network announced that he was taking time off for personal reasons.

The Minnesota State Airport Police released Jarrett’s incident report, as well as video of Jarrett brawling with police officers at the airport, to Gawker after they filed a FOIA request. According to the report, Jarrett had recently been released from a alcohol and chemical dependency program, but had consumed one glass of vodka along with an anti-epileptic known as Gabapentin immediately prior to his arrest.


After they brought him to a holding cell to be evaluated by health officials, officer Mark Dorsey reported that Jarrett grew belligerent, telling him “This is all your fault,” and calling him a “fucking stupid ass.” He then apparently grabbed at Dorsey and the firefighter multiple times, and was immediately thrown into a hold by Dorsey, who then yells at him for resisting.

Scarborough Goes off on NY Times for Running Christie Story over IRS: ‘This Is a Scam’

June 24 2014 Tuesday- Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough lit into the New York Times Tuesday morning for running a front page story about a possible second Chris Christie bridge scandal when he felt the IRS investigation was a far more pressing issue, calling the Times’ news priorities a “scam” and alleging that it was indicative of why conservatives don’t trust national news outlets.
“Is it possible that the New York Times and Washington Post are not putting on the front page of their newspapers the fact that an internal investigation has been launched against the IRS on the most shady behavior, and yet they put the Pulaski sky bridge whatever on page A-1?” Scarborough asked. “This is garbage.”


“This really is a scam,” Scarborough continued. “This is why conservatives don’t trust national newspapers. It’s why they don’t trust broadcast news. There’s a double standard and you can see it on every broadcast. You can see it on the front page of every major newspaper. This is why we don’t trust the national news outlets, because they are so biased and slanted. It’s not the news that they run, even though this is a joke of a story to put on the front page here. It’s the stories they don’t run. It’s the omissions, the acts of omissions when Democrats are in power. It’s stunning.”

After Dick and Liz Cheney’s op-ed in the Wall Street Journal last night excoriating President Barack Obama’s foreign policy in the wake of the deteriorating situation in Iraq, CNN’s John King asked if the Republicans really wanted the Bush team “leading the charge” on this issue given their history with it.

The New York Times’ Jonathan Martin suggested the op-ed served a more personal function for Cheney: the political rehabilitation of his daughter following an aborted Senate bid. “The party wants to look to the future,” Martin said. “However, the Cheney family wants to look to the future, too, which is the point of that op-ed. It’s about helping out Liz Cheney, get her more of a platform, so she can start a political comeback of her own. This is less about Barack Obama or Dick Cheney; it’s about Liz Cheney and the next generation.” “It’s also about Rand Paul, by the way,” Martin added (the Pauls and Cheneys have beef). “This is about asserting the role of the hawks in their coalition, in their party, and making sure 2016 they nominate a hawk.”

Megyn Kelly opened her show tonight tearing into the Obama White House for what increasingly looks like an “imploding” presidency, given scandal after scandal after scandal the White House has found itself engulfed in, both domestically and abroad.

Kelly opened with this simply question: “Is Barack Obama‘s presidency imploding?” She cited the bewildering fact that the U.S. may ally with Iran to deal with the situation in Iraq, and ripped Obama in particulas as “a president who has lost the trust of the American people by repeatedly misleading them.”

She went down a list of scandal after scandal that the president has briefly acknowledged while “smiling, golfing,” and attending fundraisers.

Brit Hume added that Obama’s goal from the start was to reduce the “American footpring in the world” by withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan, and the fact that Obama shows very little regret suggests he is “hesitant to change” policies, even when they are failing.
